When to visit Sri Lanka
It is terrible to say what time is the the best for travel Sri Lanka. Because of two monsoon seasons we cannot exactly recommend. Sri lankan's weather is not running like clockwork. but most of the time you can feel good in here with warm weather with nice sun shine.
As I told you, there are two Monsoon season here.
- South-west monsoon that covers May to July
- North-East Monsoon that covers in October to January
If you wish to give priority for Safari you should better select December to April time duration and you can see native birds such as 'HornBill, Brown-capped Babbler,Garganey, Grey Heron, Tringa' and many more. As well as Migrant birds too. The best place you should go to see them is Bundala National Park, Hambanthota. In this season you can see wales on South Cost Beach. You can see Dolpind neas Kalpitiya Sea on November to April time duration. On July- Sep time you can see Leopards and you should travel to Yala/Wilpattu National Parks.
If you love to sun bath, you better visit January to April on South area Beaches (Galle, Hikkaduwa, Polhena, Jungle Beach&ect..). May-July is best near east area sea side.
Simply, You can have a best experience within January-April & Mid July to September Around the Sri Lanka and February to September for North and East ares
